    This is a spectacular vintage 1960s hallmarked Russian 875 sterling silver ring decorated with the Niello technique. It boasts engraved floral design pattern and dark gray enamel background. Niello is a black mixture of metals & used as an inlay on engraved or etched metal. The ring is hallmarked on the outside of band with Soviet hammer and sickle within the star frame (post 1958), 875 and 8MB. This ring is most probably the work of Russian silver master from famouse Kubachi (Dagestan).
    Russian Niello jewelry is hard to find. this is definitively an unusual piece!
    Condition: small chips on the enamel, see pictures, in reality it's not so noticeable.
