The band is still active as a Latin rock band led by Carlos Santana. In 1976, the year before their visit to Japan, "Sorrowful Europe" became a big hit, and the unique Santana sound of sensual guitar solos and bluesy melodies bursting with frenzied Latin rhythms unfolded.
